As I’ve already mentioned my new book ‘A Season in Blogs’ will be available shortly, and I am now taking pre-orders for exclusive signed copies.
Firstly the important stuff. I’ve seen lots of people ‘cashing in’ on the Imps success, releasing their own stuff at profit for themselves, sometimes with no thought for the club at all. Rather than just order something from a website and put it up for sale, I have obviously put an awful lot of my own time and energy into this book. However, I shall be giving a minimum of 25% of all profits to the Future Imps Fund. If bought via Amazon that is £1 per book. If bought through me I shall increase that percentage to round up my donation to £2 per book. I’ll be putting sales figures out on here as well, so you’ll know exactly how much I will be donating to the Future Imps Fund. Personally I am not a fan of seeing so much stuff being hawked about with no cash going to the club.
I also won’t be tweeting all the players with ‘please retweet this for my own profit’ type tweets either. Crass, uncalled for and blatantly piggy-backing on their success. Don’t do it.
Okay now that is out of the way, on to the specifics. It’s my ‘difficult second book’, something made incredibly easy thanks to the wonderful form of our beloved football team. It is 260 pages of my blogs, mixed up with some stats and some cartoons from Chris Wray, a couple of them completely new and unseen. There’s some new material in there from me as well as the blogs, and the cover uses some excellent photographs from Graham Burrell. It will be available on Amazon, although the profit is smaller so less goes to the club that way.
The best way to get a copy is to order from me, and here is how to do it. The book is £13.99 plus P&P at £4, so £17.99 in total. Due to my current mobility issues I am not offering a collection service at present I’m afraid. In the first instance send me an email, email@example.com with ‘book order’ as the reference. You’ll need to include your name, address and who you’d like the book signing to when it gets sent out.
I am accept payment in three ways, either cheque, PayPal or bank transfer. Once I have your order I’ll contact you myself within 24 hours to discuss payment with you. I will be taking payment up front as I’ll be trying to order the right amount of books in!!
So to order:
Make sure you have £17.99 spare, somewhere.
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address and who you’d like it signing to. I will then contact you within 24 hours to discuss payment.
As you’d expect I will be pushing this a fair bit, especially over the coming few days as I look to make up a sizeable order. I anticipate these being on your doorsteps by w/c June 12th, just in time for Father’s Day.
The limited edition special release will not be going on general sale I’m afraid. I have a few things planned with those copies, but believe me the standard edition is more than worth it. I know I wrote it, but when proof reading I actually got goose bumps at a couple of bits. It is easy to take for granted the wonderful season we’ve just had, but this collection of blogs means long after the furore has died down, you’ll have a permanent reminder of the season.
Any questions, queries or comments please email email@example.com.
