Welcome to Fantastic Friday

Yes, I know there was a special press conference yesterday.

Yes, I know we signed our most promising young talent on a three year deal.

Yes, I know Lee Frecklington returned to his home club in dramatic fashion.

Yes, I know we already lured a Championship winger to Sincil Bank and both him and Freck are in the match day squad.

BUT…. that doesn’t mean the excitement is over. Not one bit. You had Terrific Thursday, now fasten your seatbelts for Fantastic Friday! Oh, and remember this: all the business must be done before lunchtime today.

See you on the other side!

  1. Gary. I don’t think you wanted to go to bed tonight. You are like a pig in sh1t. Is that your record number of articles in one day?

  2. Well I cant sleep so you can keep publishing all night for me!! I’m looking forward to Saturday with far more excitement than is healthy for a man of my age and shape!!

  3. I was really interested in the club again when the Cowley’s signed. Everyone I know who had given up! suddenly took notice. I have been intrigued and excited over the last year. Today demonstrates the level of skill/intuition they have when they joined up the signings, making clear links and hinting at the future and importance of growing your own. I feel the Cowleys would like to build a Crewe and modern day Forest. Anyway, today smacked of total class, something the Mansfield manager has none of and Lee Frecklington has in abundance.

  4. Well done Gary. For someone like me who lives in the wrong part of the country and has to travel a lot to watch the Imps, you feel like my interface with the club. You are doing a great job.

  5. I’d love to hear your take at some time in the near future on what really happened over the last 48 hours or so – how long these deals have been in the making; the frustrations involved when the ‘real’ cat is extricated from the bag; what drives people to post ‘inside’ information about fake cats etc. Keep up the good work

  6. Birmingham Imps have read below from the local Walsall paper!

Walsall have been dealt a major blow after James Wilson was recalled by Sheffield United – with the defender reported to be closing in on a move to League Two Lincoln.

Keep up the great work Gary.

  7. Checking in at work all day in Oz, with the hope you might post in the middle of the night! Great news from a great site. Can’t wait to hear more later. Number 1 site for exiled Imps.

  8. Another exiled imp who follows from Northumberland. To pick up on things that the national press don’t consider newsworthy as it is not Premier league related is like having your own on site reporter.Your blog is greatly appreciated by many of us, please keep up the good work.
Interesting request from Mike Fennell, the answers would make a great read.
Is that, out of interest, the same Mike with younger brothers Neil and Chris?
