Two Imps players nominated for PFA Player of the Month

Lincoln City have two players in the running for the PFA Player of the Month, such was their impact in an excellent September.

Centre back Jason Shackell is the first player in, he had a wonderful September, scoring against Macclesfield and MK Dons as we surged up the table. In addition to this he showed his experience in the middle of the defence, forming a formidable pairing with Michael Bostwick that will strike fear into opposition forwards.

Tom Pett is also nominated, the industrious and hard working midfielder who has been one of the season’s surprise packages. Talented Pett has shown he can operate in a number of positions with equal efficiency and has become a key part of the club’s rise to the summit of the League Two table this season.

Oldham Athletic have two players in the running, one of which is Sam Surridge who had an excellent month for the Latics. Colchester and Bury both have one each.
