Five Cowley era players who would have been right at home playing for Big Keith

I’m often fascinated by the different impact managers have on players, the different styles that suit some and not others.

Lincoln City have suffered from this phenomenon for years. remember Joe Allon? Tommy Tynan? Leo Fortune-West? All were good players who thrived elsewhere, but flopped at Sincil Bank.

It may have been the manager, it may have been the style of play, but for whatever reason those very good footballers didn’t do it for the Imps. They did it elsewhere, often against the Imps. Joe Allon scored for Hartlepool against us not six weeks after leaving.

There have been players through the Danny Cowley era who haven’t made it for whatever reason, who have been on the edge of the first team or who perhaps didn’t get the chance to shine as many hoped they would. However, in the 5-2-3 of Big Keith, would these players have fared any better?

This is a gallery article, so do please be aware of that, but it isn’t just clicking and looking at pictures. As you’d expect, there’s method in my shouts.
