Tyler Walker set for Imps loan move – reports

After much excitement on Twitter over the last 24 hours, it seems we ARE closing in on a deal for Tyler Walker.

The Nottingham Post have confirmed we’re due to pip Coventry City to his services, with a season-long loan deal in the pipeline. Nothing has come out of the club yet, but the ‘news’ is now in the public domain.

He’s been given an opportunity to impress new Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi in the summer but is now set to join us as we embark on a new season in League One.

We know Danny is keen to add to his forward options and, let’s be honest, everyone tuned in to the presser this morning expecting to see Walker unveiled. He’s been the name on everyone’s lips this summer, without any real substance. Until right now.

It’s hard to say Walker is anything other than effective too though, is it? He bagged a shed load for the Stags last season and he’s a wanted man too, Coventry have expressed an interest, but Forest trusted us with Grant’s long term development and are set to do the same with Walker in the short term.

He would certainly add energy to the squad, he might work as a player to tire a defence out for sixty minutes before John is brought on. The two are different, but they would complement the squad very well.

I’ll cover this later as I’m currently knee-deep in providing great content for Football League World, but as a news outlet has revealed it’s close I wanted to get in and cover it!
