Michael Appleton Delighted With Bozzy Return

I suppose that headline could read ‘Turkey delighted to wake up on Boxing Day’. After all, surely it’s a no-brainer that our manager is finally getting to see last year’s Player of the Year in action.

Bozzy came through the reserve game with Scunthorpe yesterday and will surely play a role against the Brewers this weekend. We’ve missed his leadership and grit at the back and obviously, the manager is over the moon to finally get the enigma back.

“The fact he got through the 90 minutes is a good confidence boost for him as well as for the squad,” Appleton told the Echo. “He’s a very experienced player. He’s played a lot of games, not just for Lincoln City but for a number of clubs. He’s an important player for us.”

How important has become blatantly obvious as our manager has struggled to find the same resilience without Bozzy as the team had with it., Remember, MA saw us against Oxford onwards and as yet, hasn’t even seen a live Lincoln City performance with Michael Bostwick plugging the gaps.
