Templeton is at the other end of the spectrum in terms of his career; he’s 30 now and struggles to put in a full game for the Brewers. That might not seem like the sort of player to pick as one to watch, but this lad has a touch of genius about him. With three operations on his knee and two hip injuries during his 18 months at the Pirelli, he’s not been lucky. When he has put on a yellow jersey, he’s been excellent.

He rarely plays 90 minutes and has started five games this season as he battles injury, but he’s the type of player that 60 minutes is enough of every week or so. In the five games he’s started, he’s bagged four goals. He’s hard to predict too, producing the unexpected due to his dexterity and ability.

“I’m comfortable with both feet. If I show to go inside (on to his right foot) I can always go back on to my left,” he said in an interview recently. “I think that makes it difficult for defenders, keeping them guessing. They can’t expect me to go inside all the time. If the space is there on the left, I’ll take it.”

He’s also played for Hearts and Rangers, bagging 26 goals in 86 outings for the Ibrox giants and helping them back from oblivion after their financial meltdown.
