Back the Fans Player Scheme – Here’s How You Can Get Involved

The Fans Player scheme (FPS) has got a shout-out on the club’s official site this afternoon and as avid supporters of their efforts, we wanted to echo the sentiment.

The FPS has raised over £120,000 for the club since its inception in 2012 and has become an integral part of the fundraising efforts. Many of us have won prizes over the years (I got some brilliant sweets and I reckon my Dad got £100), but more importantly, we have done our bit as supporters to put money back into the club’s pocket. Andrew Helgesen has done an awful lot of hard work, year after year, in promoting the scheme, getting backers and sorting prizes.

“In these uncertain times I feel we need to back the club and join the FPS to raise funds for the club, 1,000 members would mean a £10,000 cash boost to the club,” he told the club’s official site.

“We have reached out into the local community, had food bank collection points at Costa for the Sincil Foodbank throughout the season too. The FPS has been running for many years now and has helped raise the club significant amounts of money whilst also rewarding supporters by offering monthly prizes for its members.

“Our aim for the future is to grow the FPS even further and attract more businesses with even better prizes enabling us to raise the profile of the club. Thank you for all of your support towards the scheme over the years.”
