Last week we announced on the podcast we were doing a live show. Now listeners have had the chance to get tickets; we’re opening the guest list up to anyone who wishes to attend.
On February 9th, Ben and I will be in the Legends Lounge, recording our 200th podcast episode. We won’t be alone – so far, we have around 100 guests who will form the crowd, and there will be food to buy and a bar to get drinks from. This is going to be our biggest live event so far – we’ve performed in front of 30 and 50, but 100? 200? It promises to be a good night, but what would it be without some Lincoln City people to interview?
The podcast’s fifth wheel, Liam Scully, will be there, so depending on what happens by Tuesday, he’ll be either joining in the fun or getting a tough grilling. We’re promised a player, possibly Paudie O’Connor, who will join us on the sofa, or chairs, or whatever. Is that not enough for you? Ok, how about Mark Kennedy and Danny Butterfield? Now we’re talking, right?
For those attending, there will also be a bit of off-air stuff involving a couple of players from the Former Players Association, and of course, you’ll get a chance to meet and greet the stars (I mean MK and the gang, not me and Ben). It promises to be a great night, and all you have to do is let us know you want to come.
We are going to be raising a bit of money for the Foundation, but it’ll be a voluntary bucket collection on the door. With the cost of living crisis and everything else, we wanted to have a free event, where if you can afford to help the Foundation help others, the chance is there.
All you have to do is fill in the form below, telling us how many tickets you want. The capacity is 200 (for the 200th episode), so please don’t just say, “I want ten tickets,” and hope you’ll get people to come. If you’re a family of ten and you’re up for it, that’s fine.
Genuinely, all you have to do is fill out the form below. I’m trying to reply to everyone to let them know their application has been successful, and if you’ve applied for tickets thus far and have not heard, drop me an email. Chris from the podcast, and hopefully a Foundation face or two, will be on the door with the guest lists and buckets, and if you turn up and your name isn’t on the list, you’re going to have to listen to him tell you why a counter press is effective for an hour and a half. Genuinely.
What are you waiting for?
Huge thanks to Adam Chantrey for all his efforts in helping get this out of the idea stage.
