It’s not very often we write good injury news on the site, but it appears we might be getting yet another squad boost ahead of the Wycombe game this weekend.
City travel to Buckinghamshire looking to pick up a first win since the end of November, and as we know, Freddie Draper, Jack Moylan, and Joe Taylor will all be in contention. They’re not the only ones – Michael Skubala said Reeco Hackett was touch and go for the New Year’s Day defeat at Blackpool, and he’s expected to feature as well.
One player who did miss Blackpool was Ethan Erhahon, and there was no indication of his condition. A day or so before the Blackpool game, a fan spotted him on crutches, wearing a leg brace in a supermarket. After Blackpool, it was still unclear as to whether he’d be fit enough to play against Wycombe or whether there would even be a prolonged spell on the sidelines for the Stacey West-Sponsored midfielder.
There’s still no official news, but in a tweet today, Ethan was pictured training hard. No crutches, no leg brace.

That would appear to suggest that he could be back in the side for the trip to Adams Park, further bolstering our options across the field. That means a possible Ethan double back in the middle of the park, arguably our best pairing.
There’s also likely to be returns for Jack Burroughs and Sean Roughan – both missed out with soft tissue injuries, which should have cleared up by the time they get on the bus this weekend. Adam Jackson is also back, suffering from a virus over Christmas. I just hope it isn’t like my wife’s – she’s been coughing since Christmas Eve with no signs of stopping.
We could be back down to just a handful of injuries – Tyler Walker, Ben House, and Lewis Montsma, and of course, two suspensions for a red card double twins, Danny Mandroiu and Paudie O’Connor. However, with the new faces and the returning players, there’s surely a feeling we can go to Wycombe and be competitive.
