I kept this quiet, but in order to help me focus during Dad’s illness, I wrote a book.
No, it’s not about running; it will not guilt you into packing up bacon and beer. Back in 2016, when I suffered a severe bout of stress, I wrote the Who’s Who of Lincoln City Players 1993-2017. In fairness, it was riddled with spelling errors and the odd factual error. I’ve learned my lesson, I hope!
Available this week on Amazon is my latest effort – . It’s not as big as the others, so at £13.99 (on Amazon), it is reasonably priced as a nice little stocking filler.
Featuring the photography of Graham Burrell on the front, and the excellent Imptoons in the book, it brings together all of the players to have represented the Imps since our promotion back into the EFL. It’s factual and at times, a little cutting.
It’s not as big as the others, so at £13.99 (on Amazon), it is reasonably priced as a nice little stocking filler.
However, if you wish to buy a signed copy from me, I can offer it for just £12.00 including P&P. This offer is only available until Sunday, because that’s when I’ll be placing the orders.
I’ll be doing a collection (hopefully) at the Port Vale fixture on November 29th. If not, it will be the home tie with Barnsley on 9th December.

“From Wembley glory to League One stability, Lincoln City’s modern era has been one of transformation, triumph, and unforgettable characters.
In this follow-up to An A to Z of Lincoln City, 1993–2017, Gary brings the story up to date, chronicling every player to wear the red and white during the club’s EFL years — from heroes and headline-makers to those who briefly passed through before fading from memory.
Blending history, humour, and heart, this book captures what it truly means to support the Imps through a defining decade. A celebration of the names, moments, and memories that have shaped a new era at Sincil Bank.”

To celebrate the release, I shall also be bringing back my previous effort, errors and all, but ONLY in the run-up to Christmas. That should also be available later in the week, but ONLY on Amazon.
