Everyone remembers where they were the one time Chris Maguire turned up for City. Like the Diamond hat trick, there was a penalty involved, as well as two goals that brought the prickly attacker a lot of joy.
He’s perhaps best remembered for his celebration in front of Lee Johnson, something we all got behind at the time, but probably, on reflection, should have been a red flag.

Three goals for Johnson, four assists for Morgan Rogers – this was the game where the pair really did hit the sweet spot. One of Johnson’s goals was a penalty, won by Rogers, but the current Spurs player was utterly unplayable in this encounter.
This was our first win in six, and it sparked a revival that saw us surge to Wembley, only to get beaten in the final, how we’d have loved a hat trick there.
