Johnny Margetts v Southport 20/08/2016
The story of Johnny Margetts is an amusing one. We signed him after a trial, he bagged four against Southport, and Scunthorpe bought him.
Then he didn’t get into their side, they wanted to loan him to Crewe I believe, but couldn’t, so he had to come back to us! Good business, earning us money as well as this little memory.
One of the goals was a penalty, but he did hit three others that were not.
Lee Angol v Braintree 07/03/2017

Lee Angol had some debut for the Imps – he scored after 14 minutes, doubled our lead after 22, and then netted a late penalty to become the first player to hit three for the Imps on his debut since Billy Cobb.
He played a key role in our promotion, and then buggered off to Mansfield when we expected him to stay, which clouded people’s opinions a little.
