Former Lincoln City goalkeeper Lukas Jensen has taken a key step in his recovery from a serious injury.
The Danish stopper, who moved to Millwall for around £400,000, has returned to training on grass after being sidelined since April with a torn Achilles. That can only be good news for City, hoping to reap some extra profits from a big future sale.
Back on the Pitch
Jensen, now 26, suffered the injury during a training session earlier this year, but has been gradually working his way back. His return this week saw him join fellow Millwall keepers Steven Benda, George Evans and Joel Coleman under the watchful eye of goalkeeper coach Dean Thornton.

The Dane, who made a strong impression during his time with the Imps, reportedly looked sharp as he moved across his goal-line to collect efforts fired at him at Millwall this week. While his workload was kept slightly lighter than his colleagues, his reintroduction marks a major step forward in his rehabilitation.
Thornton told Millwall TV ahead of the session:
“The big news is Lukas is going to be out with us today. He’s back on the grass for the first time with us.
“Again, part of his programme, real precaution, getting him back on the pitch, getting a bit of hand-eye coordination. It will be good to see the big man finally on the pitch with us – it will be a delight.”
After completing the session, Jensen shared his delight with supporters, saying:
“Great session back on the grass – can’t wait to see you all!”
It remains to be seen exactly when the former Lincoln man will be ready for competitive action, but Millwall’s update will be welcomed by both Lions fans and those at Sincil Bank who still follow his career closely.

Jensen at Lincoln
Lukas had a superb time with City, commanding his area and playing a big part in our campaign to finish around the top ten. His prevented goals were one of the best numbers in the league, 12, while he also won over supporters who were apprehensive after the departure of Carl Rushworth.
He redefined the role of keeper for us, after three seasons of top-class loans, and proved to be of huge value when he moved on. His fee was reinvested, partly in George Wickens, who is also proving to be a big hit.
Seeing Lukas back on the grass is great for us, because if he did force his way back into the side and earned a big move, we’d get our slice of the pie.
