City have a decent record this season with injuries, with only one major first team occurrence during the campaign, and one carried over from the summer.
However, our EFL Trophy game this week did not feature the two youngsters currently around the club, as both are out injured. Oisin Gallagher has been out all season, while Charlie Parks has also been injured of late.

Michael Skubala, speaking in his pre-match press conference, confirmed 20-year-old Oisin is nearing a return.
“Oisin is back on the grass this week. He’s training with the team, so he’s into nearly full training,” said the boss ahead of the Grecians’ visit. “(Charlie) Parks is coming back next week. So, the two young lads, they’ve been pushing and they’ll be with us in a couple of weeks’ time.”
That leaves the two longer-term first-team players to be dealt with, Dom Jefferies went for an operation at the tail end of last season, and hasn’t been seen since. Jack Moylan was on the end of a nasty tackle in the League Cup against Harrogate Town, ruling him out for months.

However, Michael confirmed both are now progressing well.
“Dom Jefferies is on track, likely to be end of October,” he said. “Jack Moylan is a bit further, but they’re both in the gym with no aids and running
“Hopefully Dom Jefferies will be into team training in two to three weeks time, ready for selection hopefully come end of October, which is great news.”

23-year-old Jefferies joined from Gillingham in 2024, and played 43 times for us last season, netting three goals, including a late one right in front of travelling supporters at Mansfield Town.
Jack Moylan joined from Shelbourne in January 2024, and has had a tough time since. He’s had two spells out injured, limiting him to 35 outings last season, 57 in total, with ten goals to his name.
