It was a busy weekend for former Lincoln City players up and down the country, with assists, goals, and cup drama featuring heavily across the leagues.
Starting in the Championship, Joe Ward played a key role for Derby County, creating an assist as Carlton Morris hit a hat-trick to secure a 3-1 win at Sheffield United. Elsewhere in the same division, Connor Coventry produced another assist for Charlton Athletic in their 1-1 draw with Swansea City at The Valley. He set up former Leyton Orient striker Charlie Kelman just after the break.
Up in Scotland, a pair of former Imps strikers were both on the scoresheet. Tyrese John-Jules marked his Kilmarnock debut with a goal on 69 minutes in their 3-1 defeat to Falkirk, while Dan Nlundulu played a starring role for St Mirren as they reached the Scottish League Cup Final. St Mirren thrashed Motherwell 4-1 at Hampden Park, with Nlundulu scoring to make it 2-0 before goals from King and Mandron sealed the result.

The FA Cup First Round also provided plenty of ex-Imp interest. Stockport County were the only League One side from the top six to advance, beating Tranmere Rovers 3-1 away. Jack Diamond put Stockport ahead on 55 minutes before goals from Olly Norwood and Nathan Lowe wrapped it up. For Tranmere, former City loanee Patrick Brough started, while Lewis Fiorini was an unused substitute for Stockport.
Elsewhere, Rotherham United crashed out 2-1 at home to Swindon Town, but there was a goal for Ollie Palmer, who levelled the scores in the second half after Sam Nombe had put Rotherham in front. Swindon finished with ten men after Aaron Drinan’s red card, but Oldaker’s late strike gave the visitors victory.

At Mansfield Town, there was a flurry of ex-Imp involvement in a 3-2 win against Harrogate Town. George Maris grabbed a brace to turn the game around after Regan Hendry’s opener, while Harrogate’s first came via Duke-McKenna, assisted by another former Imp, Jack Muldoon.
Grimsby Town also progressed, coming from behind to beat Ebbsfleet United 3-1. A red card for Ben Chapman proved costly for the visitors, and the Mariners hit back through Danny Rose, assisted by former Imp Charles Vernam, who continues to impress.
There was disappointment for Danny Cowley and Colchester United, who were knocked out by Milton Keynes Dons in a 3-2 defeat. Harry Anderson provided an assist for Mbick before scoring himself, while Teddy Bishop also featured. However, late goals from Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Tomlinson saw the visitors advance.

In National League South, Chelmsford City cruised past Braintree Town 4-1, but the ex-Imp headlines belonged to John Akinde, who netted Braintree’s consolation from the penalty spot.
Current Imps Watch
To round things off with a current Imp connection, young winger Zane Okoro registered an assist for Coleraine as they thumped Michael O’Connor’s Glenavon 5-0 to stay top of the table.
On Friday night, Glentoran were also in action, but as usual, MJ Kamara was an unused sub as they won 2-1 against Portadown.
At Lincoln United, Charlie Carlsile netted a screamer as they beat Consett AFC 4-2. Dan Vanderpuye, who joined the Whites on Friday, also made his debut.
A busy weekend all round – and plenty of former Imps still making headlines far and wide.
