2019/20 Grey Away (1 PPG)
Our worst-performing shirt of all is the grey away kit in 2019/20. In fairness, when there isn’t a third kit to compare with, it’s pretty much just a measure of how bad we were in a certain season, isn’t it?
We wore this shirt on six occasions and took six points, ironically winning at Rotherham for the only time since 1957. It ties with others on 1 PPG, but as we had a cup win (Huddersfield) and a cup defeat (Doncaster Rovers) it becomes the worst.
2021/22 Blue Away (1 PPG)
Another with an awful PPG haul, this one we wore seven times, and brought home seven points. We did wear it in a cup game against Bradford City which brought a big win, which helps lift it above the grey one.
Lincoln in blue? No thanks, not when it looks like this. Awful kit, and a poor haul of points.
2024/25 White Away (1 PPG)
I thought we did okay in white kits, but it seems both white, and away over third kits, are not great. I was surprised to find our white kit from last season brought fewer points per game than the blackout kit. We wore it on 16 occasions, bringing home 16 points. We won at Burton, Cambridge, Northampton and Mansfield Town in it.
In terms of cups, we won at Chesham, Morecambe and Crawley in it, losing only to Birmingham City.
2022/23 Black Away (1 PPG)
One of my favourite kits of all time, but another blue or black one that doesn’t do well in the league. It’s another we only wore seven times in league action, and one we only won once in, at Bristol Rovers, 6-3.
It was a strong cup kit, though. We beat Doncaster in it, then beat Barrow on penalties, before wearing it when we beat Bristol City. We also did Barnsley in the EFL Trophy, and only lost in it to Premier League Southampton.
2022/23 White Third (1.22 PPG)
It seems 2022/23 was just poor away, full, stop. This is the worst of all our third kits in terms of results, the only third kit to drop in the top five.
Nine games, 11 points, and no cup outings at all mark this one down. We did win three times in it, including a solid victory against Accrington.
