Former Lincoln City defender Brooke Norton-Cuffy is now being lined up by Inter as a potential replacement for struggling Luis Henrique, according to reports in Italy.
He’s already been linked with Juventus, and more recently Napoli, but it’s now reported that table-topping Inter want the 21-year-old, who has come a long way since joining us on loan back in January 2022.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter have turned their attention to the Genoa right-back after becoming dissatisfied with the contribution of Luis Henrique. The Brazilian arrived with expectations of pace, dribbling quality and attacking threat, but the report states that his impact has been limited, leaving the club considering a loan move for him in January. That would free up the squad space required to move for Norton-Cuffy.

The former City loanee has made rapid progress since leaving Arsenal for Genoa in the summer of 2024. Genoa signed him for a fee of around €2 million plus bonuses, and the same report states that his value has increased significantly during his 25 Serie A appearances for the club. Arsenal retain a percentage of any future capital gain as part of the original agreement.
Inter reportedly see Norton-Cuffy as a strong long-term alternative to Denzel Dumfries. Napoli are also believed to have registered interest, with at least one bid said to have been rejected. That places Genoa in a comfortable negotiating position given their low initial outlay and the player’s growing reputation.

Norton-Cuffy spent the second half of the 2021–22 season with Lincoln City, joining on loan from Arsenal in January 2022. He made 17 league appearances for the Imps and scored his first senior goal in the win against Sheffield Wednesday on 5 March 2022. He has since represented Rotherham United, Coventry City and Millwall on further loan spells before moving to Italy, while also continuing to feature for England at youth level, earning caps from under 16 to under 21 age groups.
Genoa remain firm in their stance, according to the Italian report, although interest from major Serie A sides reflects Norton-Cuffy’s rising status. The situation may develop further once the January window approaches.
