Young Player of the Year – Joe Taylor (7.14)

Credit Graham Burrell

Ethan Erhahon won this last season, but as he’s now 22 (soon to be 23), he no longer counts. Once again, it is a player who joined in January, Joe Taylor.

It could be said that Taylor had the sort of impact that puts Davide Somma to shame. He came in as we looked shy up top, days after losing 2-0 to Blackpool in a game I felt was there for the taking. It took the Luton lad time to settle, but when he did, he really got us going.

I like Joe. He’s cocky and self-assured; he’s got a bit of a strut and the ability to put the ball in the back of the net. He could be on the outskirts of the Luton team next season, but if there was a chance we could get him back, he’d be hugely welcome.
