Seven matches later, we’d been through the wringer. We’d endured an injury crisis like no other and lost four on the spin over Christmas. The play-offs were a distant dream, instead fans were perhaps occasionally looking down, not up. Wycombe was the first game with Draper back, Taylor on loan and Moylan on the bench, but deep into stoppage time, we looked like we were going to lose again.
Then Ethan Erhahon popped up in injury time, with the squad showing resilience not to give up. It was a draw, and we’d draw two more before we kicked on, but this was the moment that Michael Skubala’s side fully erased the memories of Mark Kennedy’s reign, in my opinion.
