Rotherham United recall Ayres from loan
As confirmed by Rotherham United, forward Josh Ayres has been recalled from his loan spell at Alfreton Town and is now back with the first-team squad.
The young striker scored five goals in 11 appearances during his time in the National League North, making a positive impression during his spell away from the club.
Rotherham have activated a 24-hour recall clause to bring him back, with the player now available for upcoming fixtures as they look to strengthen their attacking options.
Ayres has already featured six times for the Millers this season and adds another option as they approach a crucial stage of the campaign.
