The brand new Lincoln-based Football Magazine, A City United, is finally hitting the shelves this week.
Packed with the very latest news and views from Sincil Bank, The Sunhat Villas stadium (formerly Ashby Avenue) and other teams from across the city, it is a must-have for all football fans in Lincoln. If you’re not an Imp there’s Ladies football, Sunday League and special features too.
It’s 36-page and printed in glossy full colour, and subscribers who received an advance copy have been surprised by the professional look to it.
Comments so far include:
“Well done on the quality of it, I was a bit blown away to be honest! It feels like a backhanded compliment to say so but I just kept thinking “this is like a proper magazine”! Kind of the point I guess!”
“I think it’s excellent. Lots of good content, and a good balance too.”
“It looks superb. So professional. Should be really proud of that.”
As of the end of play tomorrow you can pick up your copy in person at the following venues:
The West End Tap, 108 Newland St West, Lincoln, LN1
Traditional Meat Co (Food wagon), Outside Howdens Joinery, Tritton Road, Lincoln
BSS 3-4 Crofton Drive, Allenby Ind Est, Lincoln
Now this is where you come in, if you want you newsagent to have copies you’ll need to let me know where they are. I’m looking to work with four or five newsagents dotted across town. Let me know ones close to you that might stock it and I’ll pay them a visit. I’m hoping by early next week we’ll be in several across the city giving a proper coverage for this excellent publication
It will be on sale on a match day at Sincil Bank. Expect to find sellers at the main gate to the ground from Cross Street, and one on the Sincil Drain side of the ground. I shall be in my usual haunt outside the TP Suite to, and you can guarantee I’ll have copies to sell even if I’m not shouting about it!
Finally you can join the 50 or so others that have committed and subscribe for six or twelve months bu going to www.staceywest.net/shop, there’s even an option to buy a single copy if you so desire. Remember those prices do have to include postage, and this glossy little publication is a 145gm large letter meaning it costs £1.30 for me to get it through your letterbox. There are savings on that if you subscribe though.
So that’s that, please hunt a copy out and give me your feedback on social media. Use #acityunited on twitter, not sure if hashtags work on Facebook but we do have a page set up too, give us a like here.
