It was what, an hour ago that I put Danny Rowe on top of my Imps Christmas wish list. Well, Santa McCarthy was clearly reading and he’s let slip the midfielder is coming to Lincoln in January on loan.
There’s no word from City yet, probably because good old Mick has let the cat out of the bag before the I’s have been dotted and all that. He’s always one to rely on to let something slip is Mick.

Rowe began his career at Stockport County in 2009, making 56 appearances in four seasons at the club either side of a brief loan spell at Northwich Victoria. He spent the 2012–13 season with Barrow, before joining Macclesfield Town in 2013. It was at Moss Rose where he began to catch the eye, especially after a dazzling April 2016 match against Danny Cowley’s Braintree. He scored and ran riot as the Silkmen won 3-1. Afterwards John Askey said of Rowe: “He’s brave, strong, quick, good on the ball and has a good shot on him”.
Last season he was heavily linked with a January move to Sincil Bank only for Ipswich to weigh in with an offer of around £100k. He’s failed to break into the first team there, making just three appearances this season.
