Football Blogging Awards – Unlucky at the last stage

Sadly, we didn’t win the Football Blogging Award we were nominated for, the award was given at the exact time Elliott’s goal was disallowed, so it was a double whammy!

In all seriousness though I’m not bitter, I’m proud at once again making the finalists and having the opportunity to go to London. The fact I’ve had to sit at home and watch is irrelevant, it’s a massive achievement and I thank each and every one of you for that.

The Stacey West has continually punched above its weight, the winner of the voting award was Palmers FC with over 26,000 followers on Twitter, the judges award went to City Watch, a Manchester City site with 136,000 followers. On Twitter, we have 2,500.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve had, thank you. Award or no award I shall still be producing the same level of content going through the summer and into the next season. Sadly, as I write this, Boateng smashes a second and it looks like being another season in League Two.

May 17th – still a day to be proud for me and, whatever the outcome in 40 minutes, we’ve had a great season too.
