Two things we should thank Oldham Athletic for, and two things we definitely should not

I was quite surprised how well the Mansfield Town piece of the same genre went down so, for now, this will be a regular feature.

You know what usually happens with regular features; I get bored. The seven questions went well, but eventually I struggled for time. The writing process is very much a case of sit down, write and publish with little to no planning involved. I’m writing this at 3.30pm on Sunday, having turned the PlayStation on for a spot of Red Ded Redemption, thought of a reason to thank Oldham and left it booting up.

Spontaneity. That’s what the secret is with the Stacey West.

Tomorrow night we face Oldham Athletic in a game we need to win in order to ensure the point against Mansfield was a good one. Playing away is a novelty, we’ve only been on our travels once since we beat Port Vale 6-2. it’ll be a tough one, that is for sure, they’ve won three home matches on the spin. Still, we’re Lincoln City and we’re the ones everyone needs to beat.

On with the show, here’s two reasons to thank Oldham, and two reasons not to. They might be games, players they took from us, players they sold us who were turkeys or gems polished at Sincil Bank into a Player of the Year winner.

That’s given the first one away.
