Rather than us try to do our own Player of the Year vote, we’re teaming up with the Fan’s Player Scheme to allow you to have your say.
In a week or two I’ll be giving my usual run down of my favourites and my ultimate pick, but this is different. This is a proper award, sponsored by our friends at Running Imp and presented to the winner along with the other awards. Basically, it’s a big deal.
Last year’s winner was Neal Eardley, but who’ll get the vote this time around? There’s quite a few candidates already in the running, with a vote on both Twitter and Facebook seeing huge numbers offering their choice. Who will win the Stacey West leg of the award?
You can vote below, but before you do a few words from FPS master, Andrew Helgesen.
“The FPS award is hugely important to me as a fan’s award, voted for by the FPS. We are the fan’s player scheme and as such, this is a fans award.
“The FPS has had a strong uptake again this year, over 280 have joined via the early renewal scheme on their season tickets. We’re expanding the scope this season and once again, we’re going from strength to strength.
“We’ve been instrumental in harder times bringing players to the club and boosting the budget, but just because the club are on the up, it doesn’t mean we don’t have a role to play still. Fan support, not only in the stands but via the FPS, has never been so important. It helped bring Callum Howe, Nathan Arnold and Sean Raggett to the club, who knows what it might help Danny do this pre-season?”
If you want to join the FPS you can do so by getting in touch with Helgy at email@example.com.
Now, on to the vote: who will you pick?
