Lincoln City are reported to be looking at Charlton Athletic winger Tariq Fosu, as reported by the SLP.
The 23-year-old is leaving the Valley this summer, but could cost a fee. Lee Bowyer’s side have offered him a contract extension, with a view to getting compensation for the former Reading man.
He’s also being pursued by Rotherham and Oxford, leaving the Imps in a three-way tie for his services. Karl Robinson is likely to head the queue for his services, Fosu played his best football for the current Oxford boss at Charlton.
In the 2017-18 season he bagged nine goals in 35 appearances for the Addicks, three of which came in the form of a hat trick against Fleetwood Town. Last season he bagged two in 27, but became a fringe player under Lee Bowyer.
The winger has enjoyed loan spells with Fleetwood, Accrington and Colchester and has racked up 116 senior appearances, with 21 goals.
He’s just the sort of player we could see Danny targeting, young and ambitious with League One experience. whether we can fight off the other two sides is a different matter.
