Almond didn’t tear up any trees at Lincoln, but he wasn’t a bad player and at the time, any side loaning us decent players deserved a thank you.
Almond is a striker and was brought in from Blackpool as David Holdsworth looked to find a formula that could keep us in the National League. He scored a last-minute equaliser on his Imps debut against Braintree on Valentine’s Day in 2012 after coming off the bench but, after just three starts, he went back to Blackpool and signed a new one year deal.
He dropped into the non-league game but has recently shown good form at Southport which earned him a surprise move to promotion-chasing Tranmere Rovers where he struggled to get matches. He’s since played for York City and Chorley.
