Yesterday, whilst preparing for Match Day Live, I totted up the results of the quarter-final encounters, with Charlie watching on eagerly (Russell, not my dog).
The outcome? we’re down to four shirts, two of which the club are wearing right now. Is this really the best ever season for alternative kits? Did Liam and the crew get this so right, so very right, that they simply can’t go better next season? Or, do I appeal to a really young readership?
Whatever it is, we won’t see the two of them in the final, thanks to a random number generator which threw them together in the first tie of the semi-finals. That leaves two retro shirts, one from 2003/05 and one from the turn of the century, to battle it out for second place. Will you choose the dark blue of the Keith era, or the green and white Celtic-style shirt from 1998/99?
You have until tomorrow night to choose a winner from each tie, and then we can move forward to the Grand Final in the week.
