Hopper or Morton?

Who does he pick up top tomorrow night? The rotation system would suggest Tom Hopper, and whilst Callum Morton coming back into the side is a big boost, I think he has to go with Hopps. I felt the weekend’s game was more suited to Hopper and I felt Ipswich was more suited to Morton, but that might just be the insane ramblings of a wannabe pundit. Morton looked lost at the weekend and with three defenders, you need a striker who is completely unselfish and runs channels, drawing people away. We didn’t get crosses into the box either, the ultimate fodder of a poacher like Morton, and we needed to work for possession. That’s Hopper’s strength, and I think we could say the same tomorrow night. We need to stop them delivering the ball quickly upfield, and I think a real grafter like Hopper will give us the best chance of stopping a big boot back into our faces. That’s not to say Morton isn’t a fighter, but he will be more effective on 70 minutes against tired legs tomorrow. In terms of goals, we can look to Johnson and Rogers, but the defending starts from the nine and tomorrow night, Hopper is the man for me.
