Yesterday was a fine day.
This morning, I’ve been singing ‘ooh, Anthony Scully‘ on my dog walk, whilst having breakfast, visiting Woodthorpe Aquatics and Woodthorpe Garden Centre. In fact, Fe left me stood singing it on my own at the garden centre, something about being embarrassing. She was fine, she didn’t embarrass me at all by not joining in! I told her a simple nod and clap would suffice, but no, she was embarrassed and skulked off to the herbivores.
You had to be there I guess, watching that 87th-minute penalty ripple the net to really get it. If you weren’t there, I’ve got the next best thing right here for you – Bubs’ gallery. Now you’ll feel you were there, at least for some of the action. For those struggling with the new players, I’ve named them in the list too. I did hear the questions ‘which one is the blond lad?’ and ‘who came on at half time’ more than once, so hopefully between us, Bubs and I have you covered. Although to the one guy who said ‘the blond lad looks like ‘Gloves’ coming back’, there’s no hope. (For those who don’t know, ‘Gloves’ was the name given to Elliott Whitehouse by the row behind me).
