Jamie Robson Was Our Record Signing

This is the one that sparked me off today, and it’s a false memory with some basis. We don’t know who our record signing is or what they cost, but it isn’t Jamie Robson.

What happens is people read something from a website, such as mine, and accept it as fact. When Robson was first linked with the Imps, it was reported he would cost more than £200,000. After he had signed, Clive Nates refuted that report and put the likes of me straight. However, despite the rumour being debunked and put to bed, in some people’s minds, he remains our record signing, and they’re certain they read it as fact when he signed, despite the fee being undisclosed.
