Stacey West Podcast Recruiting Now

Have you ever listened to the Stacey West Podcast and wanted to be involved? Are you a Lincoln City fan, keen to become a part of one of an award-nominated fan-led brand?

If so, then we’ve got a great opportunity coming up on the podcast. We’ve decided to recruit a new member to the team for next year to help drive the podcast forward. We’re going to look to bring someone in to do the previews each week on a permanent basis.

The role isn’t paid, but you will get exposure on TalkSport and build a network of contacts and a reputation within the League One community. We’ll help you along the way, as will Jake, who currently does the previews. You’ll also become part of a recognised Lincoln City-themed brand, and the opportunities that come with that.

Beard is not compulsory

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a candidate 16+ who is confident and engaging behind a microphone. You’ll be contacting fans of opposition teams each week and recording a short section with them which we’ll edit into the pod. You will need to be able to commit to doing one recording a week (obviously, the odd missed week is going to happen with holidays etc.), usually a segment of no more than ten or fifteen minutes.

You’ll get access to our recording subscription, StreamYard, but you’ll need a microphone or similar to record decent audio. However, we’ll give you guidance on the technical side of things. Most importantly, you love Lincoln City, have a passion for providing insight to Stacey West listeners, and are happy to join our private podcast WhatsApp group. Outside of that, we can help you with everything else – you don’t even need experience in podcasting or recording.

How To Apply

If you’re interested, please record a voice note telling us a bit about yourself, your Lincoln City supporting history, and why you want to be a part of the podcast to staceywestpodcast@gmail.com. We’re not looking at starting the role permanently until August, but we’re keen to get someone on board before the end of the season to ensure Jake can pass on his wisdom as well as getting a new member of the team ready to hit the ground running. The closing date for the voice notes will be February 28th.

We’ll work through those as they come in and if we feel you’d be a good fit, we’ll start a round of trials in mid-March.
