I think it is fair to say February had a few highs for Imps fans.
In total, City played six matches this month; we scored seven goals (including a couple of Goal of the Season candidates), conceded three, and picked up ten league points from a possible 18. It was the first month of the season with no cup competitions, having been eliminated from all three.
Here are the best of the performers and performances, as voted for by you on our player rater widget. There are also a few key stats at the bottom of the page for those who like key stats.

Player of the Month – Carl Rushworth (7.83)
For the second time this season, Brighton’s on-loan stopper Carl Rushworth is created as your player of the month. However, it was remarkable that nine players all averaged more than 7.00 over three or more matches, making this month by far the most consistent in terms of performance since Mark Kennedy’s reign started at the club.
Rushworth picked up three Man of the Match awards as well, the most any player has bagged in a month, and this doesn’t include Saturday’s game, where he is currently on course for yet another. He’s turning into the best on-loan keeper we’ve had at the Bank, and that’s going some, given how good Alex Palmer was for us.

Individual Performance of the Month – Ethan Erhahon – (Accrington A) – 8.8
I’m 100% behind this, but I can’t help but think it’s as much about what he represented by coming in as anything. We desperately needed an Ethan Erhahon. We didn’t know he was who we needed, but we knew we needed a midfielder who would break up play, protect the defence and allow other players time and space ahead of him. Against Accrington, he did just that, and that has almost certainly pushed his number for the game up. He hasn’t dropped below a 7.25 since, and his start has certainly been a good one, but like Micah Richards once did, Erhahon burst onto the Lincoln City scene and looks like a solid investment for the future.

Team Performance of the Month – Derby (A) (7.66)
I’m not sure words are needed. Going 1-0 up at Pride Park, a ground only West Ham and Manchester City (kids) had beaten them on in four months, was good enough. To then go a man down and still hold on for a draw with 25,000 baying fans behind an energized promotion candidate was something else.
There’s a lot to be said for these types of fixture, galvanising the club and putting us on a stronger footing. This was the type of draw we can all get behind, and there’s no surprise that the best performances this season, in your eyes, have been when we’re the underdog pulling something off. It’s the fifth month in a row a game we haven’t won has earned your performance of the month.

Wyscout Stats Leaders
A player must have played at least 200 minutes for the Imps to qualify for the stats. Otherwise, someone coming on for ten minutes and getting a shot away would be right at the top of the ‘per 90’ stats! If we took this down to 100 minutes, Charles Vernam would top the first two stats.
Remember – Wyscout do not include the FA Cup First Round, for some reason, so Chippenham is not included in these numbers.
