If you’re in Lincoln this evening and fancy some football, the next generation of Imps are in cup final action.
The club’s Under 17s have battled their way through to the final against Swindon and will be kicking off this evening at 7 pm. Tickets are still available from the club website, and it could be an exciting chance to see the stars of the future.
One of those potential stars is Bailey Adamson, who smashed three goals in the semi-final against Bolton, and was subsequently involved with the first team for the trip to Wycombe. Isaac Allan is another name likely to be involved, and he told the club’s official website this afternoon of his pride at having a decent crowd to perform in front of this evening.
“We’ve played well this season and it’ll be nice to get in front of a crowd again and show what we can do and hopefully put in a good performance to win the cup,” he said. “If we were to play away, we wouldn’t have much support there other than parents, so it’s nice to have other people behind you at the LNER Stadium, and hopefully, next year, we can get them back down to a game again in the cup competitions.”
🗣 Isaac Allen and Kye Perkins are hopeful for a bumper crowd at the LNER Stadium ahead of the U17 Floodlit Cup final against Swindon Town u17 on Wednesday!

Manager Ash Foyle would also love to see a bumper crowd, adding; “The more support we can get down there not only helps us potentially win the game, but it adds to the learning of our players and gets them ready for stepping out in front of a crowd and feeling that pressure of performing in front of people.
“This might be an opportunity that comes around once in their careers and the best game they play in, and performing under pressure is a transferrable skill they can take into the rest of their playing careers or even a world without football if it panned out that way.”
These young players could be putting some silverware in the trophy cabinet this evening, and perhaps even stake a claim for a place in the first-team squad for EFL Trophy matches next season. Who knows where they may go?
Kick-off is at 7 pm for those who want to cheer our boys on this evening.
