Lincoln City Foundation Become Official Lincoln 10k Charity Partner

This is great news to report – the Lincoln City Foundation has been chosen as an official charity partner for the Lincoln 10k event on Sunday, 14 April.

This will allow runners to raise money to fund the foundation’s efforts to offer opportunities to the local Lincolnshire community. Participants will also be able to enjoy Lincoln’s most iconic sights in this beloved running event, which finishes at Lincoln Cathedral.

The Foundation’s head of healthier communities, Alice Carter said: “Lincoln 10k is a fantastic event for the city and we are delighted to be a charity partner this year.

“By taking on the 10k challenge and running for Lincoln City Foundation you will be helping our charity to continue to provide opportunities that impact people’s physical, social, and mental wellbeing.

“We immensely appreciate fundraising support which helps us to both sustain current programmes and develop new community initiatives.”

Runners who want to represent the Foundation are asked to fundraise at least £100, while they will also receive a branded Foundation top to run the course in.

Rewards are on offer for fundraisers who go the extra mile, with two free matchday tickets available for anyone who raises more than £250 and a free stadium tour for two if anyone brings in more than £500. The top fundraiser from the event for the Foundation will additionally receive two more matchday tickets and a pitch-side presentation of a signed Lincoln City shirt.

Stacey West Involvement

It may surprise you to know I run. It’s been mentioned a few times. Well, it was natural for me to be involved in this once again, but just sponsoring a runner (because some say that’s what I am now) isn’t a big attraction, is it?

How about sponsoring four?

That’s right, the full Stacey West podcast team have committed to doing the event this year, and we’re all at different stages of our fitness journey. We discuss it a bit this week on the podcast, but we’ve been keeping a lid on the fact we’re doing it for the Foundation.

I ran for the Foundation in 2022 and got a firsthand look at everything they do. Hopefully, I’ll be touching base with them again to give you a clearer indication of everything they do.

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for details of how to sponsor any one of us to run – that me, Ben, Chris and Charlie all in training for a good cause.
