November was quite a mixed month, with a hell of a lot going on.
You’d think in a month where we scored four, twice, and five once, the talk wouldn’t be about wastefulness, but it was. In fact, in seven matches, we scored 16 goals, averaging more than two per game. We conceded eight, meaning we score two for everyone we let in.
There was a cup curse going into this month, but 13 cup goals and three big wins have put that to bed. Now, the issue could be the league, we shall see!

As you know by now, The Stacey West allows the reader to rate each player after a game, coming up with a definite Player of the Month. To qualify, a player must have played in 50% of the games that month, and to get a rating a player must have been on the field of play for 15 minutes or more as a sub.
With that in mind, here is your Player of the Month and the best and worst of the team’s performances.
You can now check out all the winners of our monthly awards by going to our Roll of Honour page
Player of the Month
Tendayi Darikwa (7.60)

It’s back-to-back wins for Tendayi, and three out of four this month. Only two players have previously won back-to-back awards; Conor McGrandles and Alex Mitchell. Our wing back was pushed this month – his 7.6 was only marginally better than Jack Moylan (7.5), Paudie O’Connor (7.4) and Sean Roughan (7.3), but the former Burnley man once again takes the award. He got two Man of the Match awards as well, against Wycombe (obviously) and Exeter.
Individual Performance of the Month
Jack Moylan (Chesham) 8.3

Jack perhaps turned the game against Chesham with his outstanding goal, and with everyone watching at home, it’s easier to give a generous mark than in the game against Crawley, which may lead to this being the best performance of the month. However, Jack has been good all month, and pushed Tendayi hard, so it’s nice for him to take one of our monthly accolades.

Sure, we netted five, but it was against some of the best kids in the world. I think the beauty here lay in the line-up, an experimental, patched-up squad with players out of position. That meant Oisin at centre back, and he did excellently. It meant Zane Okoro coming on, and scoring. It was a real feel-good night, even if the opponent were substandard throughout.
Worst Team Performance of the Month
Wrexham (A) – 6.32

I’m not having this. I think this was a strong performance, away, at a side in the top two. In fact, the two games we lost were both against top sides. For me, Bristol Rovers was perhaps the poorest, but I guess this is all about win bias. We didn’t win, so it’s the lowest scoring.
