James Collins proved to be a smart January acquisition for us, delivering 0.65 goals per 90 minutes over 1,392 minutes of football. The 34-year-old striker made an immediate impact, scoring regularly and offering leadership in a youthful Imps side. Collins’s ability to lead the line, link play, and finish clinically gave City a focal point they had previously lacked.
His experience was invaluable in high-stakes games, and his work rate ensured he remained involved even when not scoring. Collins showed he still has plenty to offer at this level and was a key part of The Imps’ strong second half of the season.
