It has been confirmed that 14-year-old midfielder Jaxon Tomak has completed a move to the Nottingham Forest Academy, in a significant youth exit.
Tomak, who made national headlines back in January, became the youngest known scorer in FA Youth Cup history when he netted a crucial equaliser against Plymouth Argyle. That goal marked a turning point in his young career, attracting scouts from across the country and rapidly elevating the Lincoln City Academy graduate into the spotlight.
The talented teenager has now penned terms with Nottingham Forest’s Academy—a youth system famed for producing Premier League-calibre players. While official details remain undisclosed given the player’s age, it is my understanding that the Imps have been compensated sufficiently, above what would be expected via the PFCC.
Promising striker! 💪🏴
Jaxon Tomak has been coming through Eyeball partners @LincolnCity_FC ‘s academy, playing with the U18s and U16s this season.

“I’m incredibly excited to join Nottingham Forest,” said Tomak after the move. “It’s a big opportunity and I’m ready to work hard, learn as much as I can, and give it everything I’ve got. I’m really thankful to Lincoln City for everything they’ve done for me so far.”
His father, Guy Tomak, echoed that sentiment, praising his son’s commitment: “As a family, we’re beyond proud of Jaxon. He’s worked incredibly hard, stayed humble, and kept pushing himself. Signing with Nottingham Forest is a dream come true for him.”
Good business
This is the unseen benefit of the academy. Tomak won’t feature in the Imps’ first XI, like Scott Loach didn’t, but he will be considered a success by those close to the club. The academy is there to produce professional footballers and generate income for the club. Tomak ticks one of those boxes right now.
The move could also help strengthen relations between the two clubs. In years gone by, we’ve had a great relationship with Forest – from Tony Woodcock to Liam Bridcutt, John Finnigan to Brennan Johnson, and it’s good to see that developing further. Some forums have even suggested the transfer might ease the path to a potential full-season loan for young Forest striker Joe Gardner.
For now, though, all eyes are on Jaxon Tomak—the Lincoln lad making headlines, and taking his next step towards the very top.
