We’re delighted to introduce you to the all-new Stacey West branding.
The 2025/26 season brings The Stacey West towards its tenth birthday, officially January 21st, 2026. That makes this the 11th season we’ve been covering the club, starting 2015/16, and it’s time for a bold, fresh look.
This weekend, 141 years ago, Lincoln City played their first ever game, a 9-1 victory against Sleaford. That took place on Saturday the 4th, meaning that Sunday was the 5th, just as it is this year.
39 years ago, Sunday, 5th October, I attended my first game at the Bank. Again, it was Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th, and it seems fitting that in 2025, on the same weekend, we start our ten-year celebrations by bringing you our bold new look.
It’s also nine years to the day the site was nominated for its first award, the FBA’s as they were called back then, under Best New Blog. Alas, we did not win, but we have had four further nominations for our dedicated work bringing you all things Lincoln City.
At 6:17 pm (the importance of which I’m sure is not lost on you), we’ve dropped our new branding, courtesy of renowned graphic designer Samuel Rowson. We were also going to tie the first game of the new SW era to Bradford City, but alas, international call-ups have scuppered that.
Our new design has been inspired by Imps badges of old, taking the shape of the current retro Imps’ head at the top, and the bottom from badges of the mid to late 90s. While the term Stacey West links directly to the two Imps supporters who tragically lost their lives at Valley Parade in 1985, it also pays homage to the one-time home end where I ‘grew’ up’ watching the Imps.
These elements have been brought together in our new logo to add relevance and uniformity across all of our channels. That’s YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, BlueSky and, of course, this site.
The rebrand is only the latest phase in an upgrade for the site. Recently, we’ve expanded our output on the site, covering more news, ex-Imps and extending our match coverage. We’ve started to delve a little deeper into League One as well, keeping you up to date on as much as possible across the
We’ve done the same on social media with new predictions and MOTM videos, and we intend to keep growing our coverage to make The Stacey West your one-stop shop for all things Lincoln City related.
We’d like to thank Lincoln City FC for their assistance in allowing us to use part of the current club logo. The current badge, originally introduced in the mid-eighties, is not just a nice retro image, but it was the badge on the club shirt that tragic day in 1985, making it an integral part of Imps culture.
We’d also like to give a huge thank you to Samuel Rowson, who has been both creative and extremely patient throughout this process. We involved all of the Stacey West podcast team in the rebrand, meaning a few times we had to go back to the drawing board.
“I’m a life long Lincoln City Fan who has sat in the Lower GBM (Co-op) for over 25 years now,” he said. “I am a Graphic & Signage Designer by trade, with a real love of developing and redesigning companies, brands and products.“When this opportunity arose to redesign The Stacey West it was a no-brainer. Mixing two of my favourite things in Lincoln City and design. And I hope you can see my love for the project, the club and the site in the final outcome with the main logo and full iconography to go with it.“I am contactable on my Facebook/Instagram Account whereby you can see my latest work: @samuel_rowson_prints. I also have an Etsy shop with graphical prints, cards etc. – https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SamuelRowsonPrints “
To celebrate our new logo, it will also be emblazoned on the training kit for Lowlands JFC Under 7s Raptors. We’ve agreed to buy training kit for the team to showcase our new logo, and help grassroots football in the city.
Let us know what you think in the comments, and Up The Imps!

Love it Gary et al! Even has approval from my graphic designer husband!
Looks great how about producing a badge?
As a rival, I congratulate you on your new design. I think it looks great.
