While we were disappointed this weekend, a current Imps did get himself on the scoresheet for his loan club.
Zane Okoro grabbed his first goal for Coleraine, netting in the 55th minute of their 2–1 defeat against ten-man Bangor. The young forward started and played the full 90 minutes, also taking his tally to two for the season, after scoring last weekend.

A number of former Imps were also on target this weekend.
Matty Pearson was on target for Doncaster Rovers in their 1–1 draw with Burton Albion, helping Grant McCann’s side continue their solid recent form. He played twice for City on loan from Blackburn back in 2011/12.
Jordan Roberts found the net for Stevenage as they recorded an impressive 2–0 victory over Luton Town, taking them to the top of the League One table. Roberts played five league matches on loan from Ipswich in 2018/19.
Ollie Palmer bagged again, this time earning Swindon Town a 1–0 win away at Newport County with another decisive finish.

Jack Payne produced a stunning first-half hat-trick for Colchester United, including a penalty, in their 6–2 thrashing of Chesterfield. Harry Anderson also played his part in that demolition, adding two late goals — one on 85 minutes and another six minutes into stoppage time.
Charles Vernam continued his fine start to the season with Grimsby Town, striking in their 2–0 win over Salford City. The winger also grabbed an assist in the opening minute, setting up Khouri for the first goal.
Vadaine Oliver was on the scoresheet for Hartlepool United against York City, but his effort proved only a consolation as Pools slipped to a 2–1 defeat.

Danny Mandroiu struck the winner for Shamrock Rovers in a 2–1 victory over Bohemians, continuing his impressive form in Ireland.
It wasn’t just goals: there were creative contributions from former Imps too. Jack Diamond laid on the decisive 78th-minute goal for Stockport County in their 2–1 win against Huddersfield Town.
Harry Boyes also got on the assist chart. Now with Southend United, the left-back set up their second goal in a 3–0 win over Aldershot Town.

There was frustration for Andrew Boyce, though. The experienced defender, now captain of Scunthorpe United, was sent off as his side suffered a 1–0 defeat to Carlisle United.
