Lincoln United have confirmed a busy period of squad movement as they look to arrest their slide into the Northern Premier League East Division drop zone.
The most notable departure is that of forward Jaime Ture, who leaves the club after making 62 appearances in all competitions. During that spell, Ture scored 13 goals and added three assists, playing a key role in what proved to be a memorable double-winning campaign last season.
While his exit removes a proven attacking option, the Whites have moved quickly to bolster their forward line with the return of Andy Janssen. The 24-year-old striker is back at Ashby Avenue after a spell with Collingham FC and will be keen to re-establish himself in white. Janssen is familiar with the club and the demands of the division, and his return offers an immediate attacking alternative as the Whites look to find greater cutting edge in front of goal.
Defensive reinforcements have also arrived, with the club announcing the signing of Ellis Perry-Burdett. The 21-year-old defender is a product of the Boston United academy, having featured for their Under-23 side before moving to Wisbech Town in 2024. His arrival adds youth and athleticism to a back line that has conceded 42 goals from 22 league matches so far this season.
These changes come at a critical moment for Lincoln United, who currently sit 19th in the table with 21 points, having managed five wins from 22 fixtures. The Whites have taken just one point from the last nine available under new manager Billy Heath, a run that has seen them slip deeper into relegation trouble.
Attention now turns to tonight’s trip to North Ferriby, with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Dransfield Stadium. Imps loanee Charlie Carlisle is expected to be involved after starting on the bench on Boxing Day against Grimsby Borough.
