The January transfer window has drifted open (which I think is the opposite of slammed shut), and things are nice and quiet at Lincoln City.
While not officially confirmed, Dexter Lembikisa and Fin Barbrook are believed to have returned to their parent clubs after getting minimal minutes in late 2025. We know Josh Honohan has arrived, but what else is expected to happen?
On the podcast, we’ve played down the chances of us having a busy winter, with very little expected to happen. That doesn’t mean nothing will happen, and while Britain sits under a big freeze, we expect things to heat up around the squad as the days progress.

Last window, we signed James Collins and Joe Gardner on loan, with the former playing a big part in the second half of the season. The year before, we were barely active, although the early business of Joe Taylor and Jack Moylan changed our fortunes, and the late business of Conor McGrandles set the stage for his big return six months later.
Will we be active? Will there be incomings, as well as outgoings? What might happen at Sincil Bank before the window closes (on the same day Chris and I return from our yearly Germany football trip)?
Here are five things you might see this winter window.
