Northampton Town come to the Bank on Tuesday night with Tyrese Fornah back in contention, but Jon Guthrie and Kyle Edwards remain sidelined.
Fornah returned to training on Monday after missing the weekend trip to Exeter due to personal reasons, having only recently made his comeback from injury. Speaking in place of Kevin Nolan at the pre-match press conference, assistant Colin Calderwood confirmed the midfielder is once again available.
“Everyone from the weekend is available for selection for Tuesday, “We have a good number of players fit and available and there’s only two or three who are out of the squad at the moment.
“Tyrese Fornah is back, which helps us. He came back in this week and he’s told us that everything’s well and I think he’s looking forward to being involved. I’m sure he’ll be on the bus to Lincoln.”
However, there is less positive news regarding Jon Guthrie and Kyle Edwards, both of whom picked up injuries last month and are not expected back in the immediate future.
“It might be a couple of weeks for them. They have a bit of work to do and then they’ll have some grass time. I don’t think we’ll see them this weekend or probably the following week but they should be back on the grass pretty soon.”

While team news will shape Northampton’s approach, much of the recent focus has been on January signing Elliott Moore, who has quickly established himself as a key figure in defence.
Nolan feels Fortunate
Nolan admitted he feels fortunate to have secured the services of the 28-year-old, who joined from Oxford United last month and has already made a significant impression. Moore followed up an encouraging full debut against Stevenage with a commanding display in the 0-0 draw at St James Park, helping Northampton secure their first clean sheet in six weeks.
“I feel so lucky to be able to have Elliott with us, “We’re so happy to have him here and we’re still just getting him up to speed but he looks great and he’s also helping the two young boys next to him.
“They are two young lads who are trying to make their way in the game. It must feel amazing for them to have someone like Elliott because he’s so experienced and he brings an all-round calmness to the team.
“He was calm and he was very solid and he knows where to be at the right times. He was absolutely excellent and he’s been first-class since he walked into the building. We’re really lucky to have him.”
Moore marshalled 21-year-old Michael Forbes and 23-year-old Max Dyche at Exeter, with his leadership cited as a key factor in the improved defensive resilience.
With Fornah available once more and Moore settling quickly at the heart of defence, Northampton arrive at Sincil Bank with increasing stability, even if injuries continue to limit their options elsewhere.
