Lincoln City Player of the Month – March 2026

Lincoln City have seven games to go, and 18 points is the difference between us and third place.

Madness, and in my opinion, March has been the month where, if we go up, we really showed who we are. A relentless schedule in the early part, games against sides around us, and yet always the same outcome. City are pulling away.

The month started with our ‘MK Dons 2019‘ moment as we won in Cardiff, and from there, we’ve made sure we put a lot of daylight between us and th chasing pack. Four wins, one draw, and two promotion rivals cleanly beaten.

Who has impressed you the most this month? Well, it’s been close.

Player of the Month

Conor McGrandles (8.18)

Another month, another accolade for Conor McGrandles. His form has been outstanding, and as you’ll see from the top five table (new to this feature), his scores have been consistent across the board.

He was your Man of the Match at Exeter City, a game which called for a scrap, and he almost won the accolade again against Rotherham and Cardiff, missing out by a single decimal point to Reeco Hackett and Rob Street.

Crucially, it is his fourth win of the season and his sixth overall, making him the player with the most awards via the ratings system since we started taking player ratings. He’s also the only player to win three in a row, picking it up every month since January.

Individual Performance of the Month

Rob Street (Cardiff City A) 9.2

This award has given me great pleasure, because it is rare after a performance where we don’t have the ball for a forward to win Man of the Match, let alone the best performance of the month.

It was all about the goal that broke Cardiff, but Street worked all game tirelessly. It’s great to see him thriving at present with such crucial matches left.

Was it ever going to be anything else? City were resilient and compact in the Welsh capital, and the Sky cameras rolled as we ended up winning 2-0.

This was a statement; this is the result that people will point to if we go up and say, ‘We won it then’. My words can’t describe this, not really. It was one of those era-defining games which, at the time, you say ‘now we have to win at Exeter’ but when you look back, it stands alone.

Incidentally, also rated as our best performance by you lot since West Ham in the League Cup weeks before Mark Kennedy was sacked.
