Championship Roundup: West Ham Eyeing Championship Swoop, QPR Plot Summer European Raid

QPR eye a low-risk move with upside

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly held talks over a potential move for NAC Breda captain Boy Kemper, with the left-back set to become a free agent this summer.

The 26-year-old is attracting interest from multiple clubs, but the Hoops are among those to have already made contact as they assess options ahead of the transfer window. Kemper is nearing the end of his contract in the Netherlands, making him an appealing low-cost addition.

He has made 30 appearances this season, contributing four goals and four assists, and his role as club captain highlights both his experience and leadership qualities. His career has included spells with Ajax, ADO Den Haag and FC Volendam, with experience across both the Eredivisie and second tier.

QPR’s interest comes amid uncertainty in their current left-back options. Rhys Norrington-Davies is only on loan, while Ziyad Larkeche is out injured and nearing the end of his deal. Kemper would offer a more permanent and experienced solution in that area.
