Five Premier League 2 Prospects Prime For a Championship Loan Next Season

Kieran Morrison (Liverpool)

Kieran Morrison is a 19-year-old midfielder who plays for Liverpool and has developed through the club’s academy after joining from Manchester United at youth level. He progressed quickly through the age groups, making appearances for both the U18 and U21 sides before signing a professional contract in 2024. He made his senior debut in October 2025 in an EFL Cup match against Crystal Palace and has since featured in cup competitions, while also producing a strong run of goals in Premier League 2 during 2026. Internationally, he represents Northern Ireland, playing across U17, U19 and U21 levels, and received his first senior call-up in 2026.

Playing on the right wing, Morrison has been a significant figure for the Reds Under 21s this season, with ten goals and three assists in 2026 alone. He’s not the tallest at 5ft 7in, but his trickery and pace would certainly be a huge asset in the Championship.
