6 – Harry Anderson
Harry Anderson had already helped us win the National League during two loan spells from Peterborough United when we paid an undisclosed fee to make the move permanent in July 2017. He had previously played under Danny Cowley on loan at Braintree Town, and his Lincoln career subsequently brought both the EFL Trophy and the League Two title. Released in 2021, he won another promotion with Bristol Rovers before moving to Stevenage, then reunited with the Cowleys at Colchester United, initially on loan in January 2024 and permanently that summer.
Harry was involved in almost every stage of our recent climb, from the National League title through the Checkatrade Trophy and League Two championship to the season we reached the League One play-off final. Had we beaten Blackpool at Wembley, he might even have had the opportunity to represent us at four different levels, which tells you plenty about both his longevity and his ability to grow with the club. After two loan spells, we brought him in permanently from Peterborough and watched him develop from a promising young player into somebody who could be an absolute monster for us. He always gave everything, represented the club diligently and was a lovely lad who supporters could take to.
The only thing missing, in the context of this list, was a profit when he moved on, which is part of the reason others sit above him. Even so, I regard Harry as a Lincoln City legend, and once his playing career is finished, I suspect that is exactly how he will be remembered.
