Forest Green have moved to strengthen their forward line after a damaging January transfer window. They’ve signed striker Omar Bugiel, subject to FA and National League approval, who joins the club from Isthmian Premier Division side Worthing.
The 23 year-old German striker has netted 15 times this season for Worthing, and has agreed a deal that will run until the summer of 2018.
Bugiel won both Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year accolades at Worthing. He moved to England six years ago and has also played for Hill Town.
Forest Green lost several key players in the window, and once again their early season form has been disrupted by widespread changes, particularly in the wake of their defeat by Lincoln in November.
Imps fans will get to see former England Colleges player Bugiel in action at the end of March, when FGR visit Sincil Bank in another televised clash.
