Thanks: Trevor Swinburne
Trevor Swinburne is something of a Carlisle legend, having made over 250 appearances for them between 1997 and 1982. He was a keeper of some repute and later joined the Imps in 1985/86.
It wasn’t a classic time to be a Lincoln City player, we ended up being relegated in both seasons he played but through no fault of his at all. He left the club upon our relegation and didn’t play professionally again. No reason for thanks, yet.
In the last twelve months Trevor has emerged as a key figure in the Former Players Association, driving the group forward and connecting a lot of former Imps with the club. He was the chair and he’s on the board of the Supporter’s Trust. His energy and hard work is driving positive aspects off the field, including his pre-match interviews with players in the fan zone.
He was a good keeper, but as a figure off the field he’s become integral to the Imps this season. he arranged my Dad’s 65th shirt presentation last month too. Top man.
